EF Cambridge was founded in 1977 and is located in its own lovely garden just minutes from the city centre, making it an ideal location in which to study and explore the city. With over 30 nationalities studying at any one time you can be sure to make many friends from around the world. Study in the iLab or the library, then meet friends in the cafeteria or the TV lounge. The school features two modern student residences with different options available including single rooms and en-suite bathrooms. The school boasts both British Council and the prestigious EAQUALS accreditations. In the summer, experience a taste of British academic life by studying at Clare College, the University of Cambridge's second oldest college, founded in 1326. Our students live and study at The Colony, situated on a lovely two-acre campus.
Dedicated and experienced staff
Our School Director has been with EF for over 25 years, and takes pride in a friendly, experienced teaching staff who specialize in English exam preparation such as the Cambridge exams and university preparation. The school staff have many years experience of working with overseas students. If you require help in preparing for exams, obtaining a work placement, or guidance in further studies at an English university then we are here to help you. In addition to your academic work we have staff available to help with your accommodation and your leisure time, ensuring that you make the most of your stay with us.

At EF, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all language learning. That's why we offer courses to suit your every need. With intakes every Monday and courses ranging from 2-52 weeks, you can choose the length and intensity of your studies along with your special interest classes.
Special interest classes for every taste
Our school offers a long list of special interest classes (SPINs) for you to choose from. Adding a whole new dimension to your course, SPINs allow you to truly make your studies your own. Work on your language fluency at the same time as you build your knowledge in topics that genuinely appeal to you.

A 6 or 9 month rigorous preparation course for university graduates pursuing an advanced degree such as an MBA, Masters or PhD. Guaranteed university placement!

Intensive English :

Make maximum progress during your stay abroad. Highly recommended for students who want to learn a language as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons. Our highly structured syllabus will have you speaking and writing with confidence in the minimum amount of time. An EF intensive course includes 32 morning and afternoon lessons per week (total tuition time of 21 hours, 20 minutes), blending classroom and teacher guided self study in the iLab.

Gain a sound understanding of the essential disciplines of a language. The focus is on communicating clearly in every day language. This carefully structured course is designed to help you move up one ability level every six weeks. An EF general course includes 26 weekly lessons (total tuition time of 17 hours, 20 minutes), held in the morning and afternoon, including 6 iLab sessions
