Courses at all levels
Our Intensive English courses and our Language and Activity Programmes are available at all levels from Beginner to Advanced. You will be tested on your fi rst day and placed in one of the six main levels shown below. (We usually have classes at many more than six levels, but these are the main divisions).

We offer two locations:
During the academic year (September to June) Classes are held at our main school, at Salisbury Villas, Station Road. We are just 10 minutes' walk from the centre of town and 400 metres from the main train station, with frequent service to London and other parts of the UK. Student Ages
Student Ages The minimum age for participation in our Intensive English courses is 16 years. However, at certain times of the year, we run our Sir George Language and Activity Programme at our main school in Cambridge. If you are aged 19 or more years, your classmates will not be younger than 16 years. If you are aged 16 to 18 years, some classmates may be 14 to 17 years of age.Student life

The Activities Programme
Our Activities Programme is an important part of student life. It includes at least fi ve activities each week and encourages you to continue to use the English you have learned in class. All activities are included in the fees. There are no additional costs except for food at restaurants, for example.Excursions
We organise full-day excursions at weekends to Britain's most interesting places: London, Stratfordupon- Avon, Warwick Castle, York, Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge and more. Two-day excursions are also off ered to Scotland, Wales, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Visits to the London theatre are a popular evening activity. Excursions and theatre visits have an additional cost.Travel to the continent of Europe
Cambridge is just 50 kilometres from London's Stansted airport. There are regular, and very inexpensive, flights from Stansted to many major cities throughout Europe.EFL 28 - General English : 25 hrs per week

EFL 20 - General English : 15 hrs per week
15 hrs/week
The English Course (EFL-20) is in general English, with no specialisation. It consists of 20 lessons each week, typically from 09:15 to 12:45 each day, Monday to Friday. It is ideal for students who do not wish to take a more intensive course, preferring to have their afternoons free. The content of the course differs according to the level of each class. However, all courses include the study of grammar, speaking and pronunciation, writing skills, and listening and reading comprehension.

University of Cambridge Examination Course (CAM-28)

9 week course
This course is designed not just for students wishing to take the University of Cambridge examinations, but also for people who want a highly structured and demanding course with a slightly greater emphasis on grammar and writing. The courses include:
- Use of English grammar and vocabulary
- Writing skills
- Reading and listening
- Speaking and pronunciation
- Examination practice, including a full mock test to highlight weaknesses
- Additional homework and private study
The fees do not include the cost of examinations, estimated at £100. This should be paid at the school.
